At the heart of the story is a traditional and kind spirited Maori father who owns and operates the pub with the help of his apathetic son. The father has built a thriving business over the years and dreams of one day handing it over to him but Boy has other ideas.

Their relationship is strained, as he would rather be on the road himself to make his own way. Together they play host to these weary travellers while working on their tense relationship. Boy’s attitude suddenly changes when a beautiful stranger walks through the doors seemingly carrying more weight behind her eyes than on her back.

But don’t be fooled…My Chinese New Year in Little India is a quirky and fun loving take on the world today. Its part drama, part doco and part musical all mixed up with an eclectic cast of character that are dedicated to improving world relationships one beer at a time.
